Success. It doesn’t care how tall or short you are, what the color of your skin is or how young or old you are.
The fact is, success can be yours no matter your situation, and there are plenty of examples proving just that. Let’s take a look at some of them:
Laura Ingalls Wilder
Have you ever read any of the Little House on the Prairie series? These were some of the most beloved children’s books of their time, and they’re still popular today.
But would you believe that Wilder was 65 years old when she sat down to write them? Although some were published posthumously, she still managed to put out 12 books.
Edmond Hoyle
Have you heard of Hoyle playing cards? No doubt you have. Well it was Englishman Edmond Hoyle who created the world’s first deck of cards.
And even more inspiring, he was around 70 years old when he created his first deck and began developing rules for the game.
Kathryn Joosten
Kathryn Joosten started out as a nurse and spent the majority of her non-nursing time as a stay-at-home mom. But after her marriage failed, she was determined to make something of more of her life.
So, even though many would have considered her too old to start, she persisted and at the age of 60 began landing acting roles. From Family Matters to My Name is Earl and Scrubs, Joosten even won two Emmy Awards for her performance as Karen McCluskey in the TV show Desperate Housewives.
No matter who you are, no matter where you came from, but most of all, no matter your age, young or old, you CAN do it!
